and Care:
Growth is very vigorous. This
can be a very large bush. Effective
as a pillar rose. It is outstanding as a
pegged rose where it will produce enormous quantities of lateral shoots and more
blooms. It has long canes with deep green leaves. It will do very
well even in poor soil and likes cool shade in the South where summers are very
warm. It may have a little mildew if air circulation is poor. Comments: This famous rose enjoys almost universal praise. This rose is well adapted to warm climates and will survive with organic gardening methods. Mme Pereire was a member
of a banking family during the reign of Napoleon III. |
