Semi-double Bloom Frequency:
Once blooming in spring. Color:
Medium red (crimson red). Fade
to a beautiful deep rose shade. The
petals are rounded and flat and reflex to look like a camellia when fully open. Fragrance:
Fragrant Thorns and Mossing:
Fairly thorny with a mixture of prickles.
Sparse, clear green moss. Approximate Height:
5’ by 4’ Description and Care:
Dark-green, plentiful foliage. Forms
a graceful shrub. Flexible canes,
very well suited to pegging or growing on a short pillar.
Needs some form of support. Carries
an exceptionally high number of blooms during the spring. I have never sprayed this
rose and it never has any disease problems.
It does not require pruning unless you need to do so to keep it within
bounds. If you must prune it, do so
right after flowering. Comments:
This is an extremely easy rose to grow and well suited to organic
gardening methods. |
