Existing Maroon Rose

Several of these roses were here when we purchased our home. They bloom once in the spring, but do not have much, if any fragrance. They are climbers with flexible canes reaching approximately 9 feet. They do suffer from black spot and generally end up with no leaves during the middle of the summer, but do get leaves again in the fall.

The blooms are a dark red, tending towards the maroon. The leaves are shiny.
