Beautiful cherry-red, single blossoms with white eyes. Generally blooms are borne in clusters. Very resistant to disease and I have never had it have any disease and I have never sprayed it. Blooms best in spring and fall, with some blooms throughout the summer. Very shiny leaves. There is a very slight fragrance. Can serve as a climber and under very good conditions, will perform well as a rambler. Bred by Kordes in Germany, in 1955, seedling x Rosa Kordesii. This is a wonderful climber, especially for the novice rose gardener as it will grow under any conditions and bloom wonderfully. |
